Varsity Track - 4/24/2024

Congratulations to our men’s and women’s future varsity for competing well tonight against 11 teams at the Cole McCaferty Amanda Invitational. The men finished 5th and the women finished 6th. Great effort by all.

Varsity Baseball - 4/22/2024

Monday the 22nd, the Falcons took the Bulldogs in an important league matchup. The Bulldogs jumped out front early and never looked back. Jacob Forson and Dylan Chilcote combined for the pitching duties. Forson went 3.2 innings allowing 8 runs but only 2 earned. Chilcote went 3.1 innings.

Garrett Dilcher was the offensive leader for the Falcons who went 2-3 with 2 singles. Ben Barringer and Brady Andrews each recorded singles. Chase Harmon and Alex Burke each had an RBI.

Brady Anderews had an excellent game behind the plate. Throwing out 2-3 base runners attempting to steal.

Varsity Baseball - 4/19/2024

The Falcons traveled to Liberty Union to take on the Lions. The Falcons hung on to win 7-6. Ben Barringer took the mound for the Falcons going 5 strong innings and getting the win, allowing just 4 hits and 5 strikeouts, 5 walks and a hit batter. The walks proved costly for Barringer as four of the 5 scored. Kyle Wolfe came on in the 6th-7th to get the save, Wolfe allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, 2 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Offensively Barringer helped his cause going 2-3 at the plate with 3 RBI , Gage Hammond also had two hits and 2 RBI. Ashton Waldrop also singled and drove in two runs to help secure the game.

Varsity Baseball - 4/18/2024

The Falcons took a road trip yesterday to Chillicothe VA Memorial Stadium to take on the Portsmouth West Senators. The Falcons won the game 5-3.

I the third inning Angelo Galella scored on a passed ball, Ashton Waldrop scores on Brady Andrew squeeze bunt. Alex Burke sored on Garrett Dilchers ground ball to the shortstop. The Falcons picked up runs in the 6th and 7th Chase Harmon puts the ball in play to score Dilcher from 3b.

Dylan Chilcote started on the mound going 5 innings, giving up the 3 earned runs, walking 4 and striking out 4.

Eli Wolfe came on in the 6th to 2 complete innings with no runs no walks and 2 strikeouts.

Women tie for 3rd and the Men bring home 6th. We were able to compete a lot of our younger athletes along with some specialty athletes to see who is capable of what. Overall great weather and a great night. #FalconPride #RowTheBoat

Varsity Baseball - 4/15/2024

The Falcon baseball team dropped a tough 9 inning game to visiting Circleville last night 6-4. Brady Andrews pitched 7 strong innings allowing 3 runs with 2 earned. Ty Fisher, Chase Harmon and Kyle Wolfe all pitched in relief. Andrews struckout 9, walked 3 and hit 4 batters

Offensively the Falcons were led by Ashton Waldrop who was 2-3 and scored 3 runs, Garrett Dilcher was 3 for 5 and scored a run. Aiden McCafferty and Chase Harmon also collected two hits.

The loss drops the Falcons record to 5-8 overall and 4-2 in the league.

The Lady Falcons had a tough night on the diamond dropping their league game to visiting Circleville. Kayle Emswiler led the offense 2/3 with a Homerun and 3 RBIs.

Fairfield Union 12 - New Lexington 11

The Falcons won their non league game at New Lexington. Eight Falcons had hits in the win. Maddie Lanning led the Falcons offensively going 4/4, with two doubles and 6 RBI’s. Rachel Patterson earned the win in the circle.

Varsity Baseball - 4/13/2024

The Falcons dropped a pair of games this weekend to state ranke Sheridan Generals 14-4 and 15-5. Highlights for the Falcons were Kyle Wolfe, Brady Andrews and Ashton Waldrop collected 2 hits on the day. Garrett Dilcher doubled and had 2 RBI. Eli Wolfe, Aiden McCafferty, Micha Hartman.

In game one Ben Barringer got the pitching loss and in game two Micha Hartman took the loss on the mound.

Varsity Baseball - 4/10/2024

The Falcons defeated the TV Vikings behind strong pitching and timely hitting. The Falcons also executed their bunting game to perfection.

Jacob Forson pitched 6 1/3 innings giving up just 2 runs with 8 strikeouts and 3 walks and allowed 8 hits. Ben Barringer struck out 2 batters in the 7th inning to end the game. Brady Andrews was 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI. Micha Hartman and Ben Barringer also added an RBI each.

The Falcons record stands at 5-5 and 4-1 in the MSL.

Varsity Softball - 4/10/2024

Fairfield Union 7 Teays Valley 4

Rachel Patterson earned the win pitching 6 innings and was backed by stellar defense.

The Falcons found themselves down 3-4 in the bottom of the 4th. Taylor Smeck led off the inning with a double. Patterson scored her with a single to right center field to tie the game 4-4. Patterson led off the 6th inning and again found her way on with a walk. Molly Brown bunted for a single and advanced the runner. The defense tried to get the courtesy runner Ellie Hutchinson at the plate, but were unsuccessful, putting the Falcons ahead 5-4. Addy Wolfe drove in 2 runs with a double extending the lead to 7-4. Three up three down on defense in the top of the 7th sealed the victory with everyone contributing.

Fairfield Union with the win 4-2 over Amanda Clearcreek. Rachel Patterson was the winning pitcher with 7 innings pitched and solid defense to back her up. Addy Wolfe was 2/3 with a Homerun. Kerra Fuller went 2/2. Kayle Emswiler, Kerra Fuller, and Maddi Lanning all knocked in a run as well.

Varsity Baseball - 4/6/2024

The Falcons dropped a pair of games on Saturday, New Lex beat the falcons 6-1 and Lakewood beat them 9-2. Not much offense on the day. The only two RBI came on a double squeeze by Jeremiah Johnson.

Chase Harmon started the game vs New Lex and Ben Barringer pitched 5 innings in relief vs New Lex. Kyle Wolfe, Alex Burke, and Brady Andrews pitched vs Lakewood.

Varsity/JV Baseball - 4/5/2024

The Falcons scored two runs in the top of the 7th and held on in the bottom of the seventh to beat Bloom Carroll on the road. Kyle Wolfe and Ben Barringer scored on an error by the Bulldogs. Jacob Forson pitched a complete game, 6 strikeouts and just one walk.

Falcon JV team Bloom Carroll Friday evening at John Nelson Field. Falcons s won the game 7-6 in seven innings. Dylan Chilcote earned the win in relief Cameron Silcott who started and pitch 5 1/3 innings. Falcons were led offensively by Braxton Rowles with two hits. Gage Hammond, Braxton Rowles and Wyatt Boggs each drove in run for the Falcons. Joey Blankenship reached base with two walks and Braxton Rowles and Codie Andrews each had multiple stolen bases.

The Falcons defeated Liberty Union last night 9-2 . Micha Hartman pitched a complete game including 8 strikeouts. Brady Andrews went 3-4 at the plate and 2 RBI, Garrett Dilcher also drove in two runs with a double. Ty Fisher executed a bases loaded squeeze to add a run.

Varsity Baseball - 3/27/2024

The varsity team lost a close game to Washington Courthouse 4-3 last night. The Falcons were limited to only one hit, a pinch hit single by Alex Burke in the seventh inning which eventually led to Jeremiah Johnson scoring the Falcons third run.

Micha Hartman pitched 7 strong innings allowing 6 hits walked 1, struck out 4 and hit a batter.

Ty Fisher scored a run and had 2 stolen bases.

Falcons travel to Westfall on Friday.

JV Baseball - 3/27/2024

The JV baseball team traveled to Unioto for an early season match up with the Tanks. Falcons lost on a walk off base hit 5-4 in seven innings. Cameron Silcott pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up 4 hits and one run. At the plate, the Falcons were lead by Eli Wolfe and Wyatt Boggs with two hits each. The Falcons JV team will return to action Friday when they host Westfall at 5:15 p.m.
