The Fairfield Union boys golf season is in the books. The team finished in 7th place with a score of 353 in their District tournament on Wednesday at Crown Hill golf course.

Low man for the Falcons was Isaiah Delong with 85

Bryce Lepi 87, Caden Featheroff 88, Dylan Chilcote 93 and Eli Wolfe 97.

The team finished the year in 2nd place in the Mid State League with a record of 13 and 7 and overall had 85 wins to 57 losses.

On Tuesday, the Fairfield Union Falcon golf team fired a 327 and finished in 4th place at their Division 2 Southeast Sectional tournament and secured a spot in next week's District tournament at Crown Hill golf course.

The Fairfield Union varsity boys headed to Hocking Hills golf course Tuesday afternoon and brought home 1st place in a quad match hosted by Logan. The Falcons fired a 165, Logan 173, Wahama 178 and Sheridan 192. Low Falcon and match medalist was Isaiah Delong with 38, Caden Featheroff 41 Bryce Lepi 42 Dylan Chilcote 44 Eli Wolfe 51 and Ben Spillers 54.

The Jv were home at Pumpkin Vine and hosted a 6 team invite and finished 5th with 200. Low Falcons were Willy Bitler and Tucker Wolfe with 48 Aydin Shields and Hayden Barber 52 Gabe Boyer 55 and Keegan Kelley 57.

The Fairfield Union men’s cross country team delivered a strong performance, securing a total team score of 34 points for the win by an impressive 24 points over 2nd place. There were 22 teams in the meet and 197 athletes. The team was led by senior Andrew Walton, who claimed first place overall with an impressive time of 15:46.4. This top finish set the tone for the team’s overall success.

Varsity/JV Boys Golf - 8/31/2024

The Fairfield Union boys JV golf team competed in The Buzz scramble at Vernon View golf course on Saturday and finished in 19th place with a 69. Ben Spillers, Lincoln Johnson, Ian McDaniels, Tucker Wolfe and Kaden Metzler were the golfers competing.

The Fairfield Union boys Varsity golf team competed in the Bob Darwin Invite at Westchester golf course and finished in 13th place with a team score of 343. Isaiah Delong was the low falcon with 80 followed by Bryce Lepi 85, Eli Wolfe 88 Dylan Chilcote 90 and Caden Featheroff 93.

The Varsity Boys Golf team travelled to Chillicothe Country Club Monday afternoon and lost to Chillicothe 157 to 166. Isaiah Delong was the low falcon with 40 followed by Bryce Lepi, Will Ogg, and Dylan Chilcote all with 42, Will Wolfe 45, Eli Wolfe 46 and Caden Featheroff 49.

Congratulations to the Falcon JV golf team on their victory Monday afternoon at Pine Hill against Pickerington North 195 to 211. Ben Spillers was overall match medalist with 43. Kaden Metzler 47, Willy Bitler 52, Ian McDaniels 53 Gabe Boyer and Aydin Shields 56.

Varsity Girls Cross Country - 8/24/2024

Fairfield Union Cross Country Shines at Newark Catholic Invitational

The Fairfield Union Women’s Cross Country team also delivered an outstanding performance competing against a strong 13 all division field. Our girls finished 5th with 153 points and 104 athletes in the varsity race.

Our girls’ varsity team was led by Adelyn Winters who finished 6th with a time of 20:39.6. She was followed by Abigail Pike - 26th (21:57.3), Ellen Morgan - 38th (22:17.3), Claire Wilkinson - 49th (23:29.5), Julia Widener - 52nd (23:40.0), Annalese Berry - 74th (26:11.7), and Arianna Tiller - 79th (27:05.1).

The Women’s reserve race had 98 runners competing. Natalie Hotrum led the way with a 48th place finish in a time of 27:53.8, followed by Alexis Mason in 71st (31:03.2).

Fairfield Union Cross Country Shines at Newark Catholic Invitational

Newark, OH - The Fairfield Union Men’s Cross Country team delivered an outstanding performance at the Newark Catholic Invitational this past Saturday. Competing against a strong 16 all division field, our guys finished 1st by an impressive 36 points over second place. There were 115 athletes in the varsity race.

Our boys’ varsity team was led by Drew Walton 1st place overall with a time of 15:53.53. He was closely followed by Nathan Phillips in 2nd (16:23.4), Connor Runkle -5th (16:33.1), Christian Reindle - 6th (16:35.5), Cordel Runkle - 13th (17:03.4), Connor Myers - 17th (17:22.5), Andrew Ray - 18th (17:26.8), and Ryan Boyer - 22nd (17:29.4).

The Men’s reserve team placed 2nd out of 7 teams in the reserve race. There were 89 runners in the reserve race. Chase Miller led the pack with a 1st place finish in 17:54.0. He was followed by Ethan Phillips - 6th (19:52.8), Howard Bean - 12th (20:25.5), Caleb Kellenbarger - 13th (20:25.8), Colin Reindle - 15th (20:36.3), A.J. Huntzinger - 17th (20:56.0), Caleb Tiller - 31st (22:06.4), Anthony Barnecut - 43rd (22:58.3), and Kenseth Baumbusch - 71st (27:36.9).

The Lady Falcons Golf Team traveled to Circleville to compete in a Trimatch against Circleville and Zane Trace. It was a hard fault match but they came up short. 198 to 208 to 210. Kelsey Hawkins and Lauren Mason each had the low score of 52 for the Falcons.

The Falcon golf team headed to Coyote Run Wednesday afternoon to compete in a dual match with Sheridan. The Falcon varsity lost to Sheridan 161 to 170. Scores for the Falcons were Isaiah DeLong 37, who was also match medalist, Eli Wolfe 42, Caden Featheroff 44, Dylan Chilcote 49 and Aiden Shields 51.

The Jv also lost 189 to 202. Scores were Ian McDaniels 48, Keegan Kelley 49, Willy Bitler 52, Gabe Boyer and Kaden Metzler 53, Ryan Drury 58, Haden Barber and Tucker Wolfe 59, Hudson Miller 62 and Bryce Pennell 64.
