2023-2024 Results & More!

2024 Falcon Track and Field with a Sweep!

The Falcons came together as one this season in order to sweep the Men’s and Women’s MSL, District and Regional titles! Most recently this past Thursday and Saturday the Falcons fought hard for each other to win the Regional meet. The women scored 72 pts over second place 57.5 and the men scored 54 pts over second place 48 pts.

The Falcons set 5 school records over two days.

Women’s 4x100m relay team of Sarah Lepi, Kyla Gasser, Kaeda Miller and Emma McCormick with a time of 50.57.
Women’s 4x800m relay team of Tyler Teal, Taylor Colopy, Abbie Pike and Anna Conrad with a time of 9:35.79.
Women’s 4x400m relay team of Sarah Lepi, Averey Cottrill, Abbie Pike and Anna Conrad with a time of 4:00.02.
Anna Conrad in the 800m with a time of 2:16.12.
Chayse Lipscomb in the 300mH with a time of 37.36.

Varsity Baseball Advance in Tournament Play

In tournament action last evening the Falcons took down the number one seed Unioto Sherman Tanks in dramatic fashion 8-3. From the first inning on the Falcons were the aggressors, scoring in the first inning after Brady Andrews was hit by a pitch, pinch runner Braxton Rowles went to 3b on a single by Garrett Dilcher, Rowles scored two pitches later on a ball that got away from the catcher.

In the third inning Angelo Galella singles to start the inning, moves to second on a sacrifice bunt by Ashton Waldrop then scores on another passed ball by the catcher. Aiden McCafferty reaches on an error and comes home on another Dilcher single to make it 3-0.

The Falcons were able to manufacture 3 runs in the 6th including singles by Brady Andrews, Dilcher, Ben Barringers squeeze bunt, Kyle Wolfe sacrifice fly and Chase Harmon sacrifice bunt.

In the 7th inning the Falcons got 2 runs on RBI singles by Chase Harmon and Kyle Wolfe.

Jacob Forson was excellent on the mound, pitching all 7 innings. He gave up 3 runs with 2 earned. He struck out 7 and walked 2.

The Falcons take on Washington Courthouse on Monday, May 20, at 4:00 p.m. The game will be played at Ohio University's Wren Stadium, 140 S. Shafer St., Athens.

Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Teams bring home the double District Titles! Multiple school and District records! Averey Cottrill 300h 45.55. Women’s 4x200m (Averey Cottrill, Kyla Gasser, Katie Welsh, Sarah Lepi) 1:45.82. Women’s 4x400m (Sarah Lepi, Abbie Pike, Averey Cottrill, Anna Conrad) 4:02.33. Women’s HJ Christian Thompson 5’8”.

We will have a large number of athletes representing us at the Regional meet.

Varsity Baseball - 5/14/2024

The Falcons advanced in state tournament action on Monday night with a 3-2 victory over visiting Piketon Redstreaks. Kyle Wolfe pitched his way to a win going 4 2/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, 5 walks and 5 strikeouts. Jacob Forson was able to save the win by pitching the last 2 1/3 innings with no runs, no hits and 1 strikeout.

Offensively the Falcons were led by Ben Barringer going 2-2 at the plate with an RBI single in the second inning and RBI double in the fifth inning. Angelo Galellla squeezed home pinch runner Jeremiah Johnson for the other run.

The Falcons will travel to Unioto on Thursday, May 16 to take on the top seeded Sherman Tanks in the sectional finals at 500 p.m.

Varsity Softball - 5/8/2024

The Lady Falcons fell a little short in their tournament sectional final game vs Athens. Leading the offense was Addy Wolfe going 3/4 with a two run homerun in the top of the 7th. Taylor Smeck went 2/3 and Ella Harmon went 2/4. Maddi Lanning hit a 2 run homerun in the top of the third.

Varsity Baseball - 5/4/2024

On Saturday, the Falcons hosted the Silver Knights of Bishop Ready. The Falcons got on the board early with 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st on an RBI double by Garrett Dilcher to score Aiden McCafferty and a single by Gage Hammond to score Dilcher. Aiden McCafferty finished with 2 RBI.

Kyle Wolfe pitched 5 strong innings allowing just 3 hits, Gage Hammond pitched the last 2 innings allowing no hits and 1 walk.

Final score was 4-0 in favor of the Falcons.

Varsity Baseball - 5/3/2024

On Friday, May 3, the Falcons traveled to Chillicothe to take on the Cavaliers. Brady Andrews pitched lights out for 5 innings allowing 0 earned runs, striking out 5 and walking just 2. This allowed the Falcons to build a 9 -1 lead going into the 6th inning behind the offense of Aiden McCafferty, 2-4 , Garrett Dilcher 2-4 and Chase Harmon 2-3 Gage Hammond and Kyle Wolfe both added 2 RBI. The Falcons gave up 5 runs in the 7th inning but held on to win 9-6. Ty Fisher came on in relief.

Varsity Baseball - 5/1/2024

The Falcons jumped out to a 7-2 lead over Circleville but could not hold on for the victory. The Tigers scored 6 runs in the last 3 innings to beat the Falcons. Helping the Falcons build the lead early was Chase Harmon 3 singles and 3 RBI, Garrett Dilcher single and 2 RBI, Aiden McCafferty had 2 hits and scored 2 runs and Brady Andrews had two singles.

Jacob Forson pitched 5 innings allowing 4 runs 3 earned 6 strikeouts and just 1 walk. Ben Barringer and Ashton Waldrop pitched in relief.

The Falcons finished the MSL league with a record of 6-8.

Varsity Baseball - 4/29/2024

The Falcon baseball team came up short Monday night vs the Hamilton Township Rangers on Senior Night at John Nelson Field. The Rangers defeated the Falcons 5-1.

Kyle Wolfe pitched 5 strong innings giving up 4 hits, 4 runs with only one run earned. Garrett Dilcher and Ashton Waldrop pitched in relief.

Offensively the Falcons got hits from Ben Baringer, Aiden McCafferty and Gage Hammond drove in the only Falcon run with his single.

Varsity Track - 4/30/2024

Tonight was the first year for the Darrell Myers invitational. For me it was a very special moment to step back and watch Dad hand the teams their awards as both men and women brought home the win! I reminded the team Dad is one of the reasons I’m their coach now. It’s an honor to follow in his footsteps.

We also got to celebrate 15 seniors and their families tonight which is always special! We love and will miss this amazing class. They have done so much for this program!

We had a moment of silence for Kelley Hoellrich which was definitely a hard one for me. Kelley did so much for our program and I also coached her daughter Emma.

Chayse Lipscomb broke his own 110m hurdle school record and Averey Cottrill broke the 300m Hurdle record. Sara Lepi and Averey Cottrill shared MVP running events and Mitchel Ortiz got male MVP running events.

Varsity Baseball - 4/26/2024

The Falcon baseball team fell at Teays Valley 4-3 on Friday. The Falcons took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 3rd inning when Jacob Forson was hit by a pitch, Aston Waldrop singles, Forson advanced around to 3b and scored on a single by Aiden McCafferty. Brady Andrews reaches on an error to load the bases. Garrett Dilcher beats out an infield single to score McCafferty and Waldrop. However the Vikings rallied in the bottom of the 7th to score 2 runs and get the win.

Jacob Forson pitched 6.2 innings allowing 7 hits and just 1 earned run. He struck out 2 and walked none in the effort. Gage Hammond, Ben Barringer, and Jacob Forson also collected hits for the Falcons.

The Falcons will honor their four seniors on Monday at 5pm vs Hamilton Township.

Varsity Track - 4/26/2024

Congratulations to the women for winning the 8 team Milt Will Canal Invitational with 155 points over second place Pickerington Central 134 points. Women had 2 School records. Christian Thompson 5’6” in HJ and 4x200m Abbie Pike, Kyla Gasser, Katherine Welch, Sara Lepi in a time of 1:47.70

Congratulations to the Falcon men for placing 4th out of 9 schools at the Milt Will invitational. Chayse Lipscomb comes away with 2 School records. 37.82 in the 300h and 14.31 in the 110m Hurdles. #FalconPride

Varsity Track - 4/24/2024

Congratulations to our men’s and women’s future varsity for competing well tonight against 11 teams at the Cole McCaferty Amanda Invitational. The men finished 5th and the women finished 6th. Great effort by all.

Varsity Baseball - 4/22/2024

Monday the 22nd, the Falcons took the Bulldogs in an important league matchup. The Bulldogs jumped out front early and never looked back. Jacob Forson and Dylan Chilcote combined for the pitching duties. Forson went 3.2 innings allowing 8 runs but only 2 earned. Chilcote went 3.1 innings.

Garrett Dilcher was the offensive leader for the Falcons who went 2-3 with 2 singles. Ben Barringer and Brady Andrews each recorded singles. Chase Harmon and Alex Burke each had an RBI.

Brady Anderews had an excellent game behind the plate. Throwing out 2-3 base runners attempting to steal.

Varsity Baseball - 4/19/2024

The Falcons traveled to Liberty Union to take on the Lions. The Falcons hung on to win 7-6. Ben Barringer took the mound for the Falcons going 5 strong innings and getting the win, allowing just 4 hits and 5 strikeouts, 5 walks and a hit batter. The walks proved costly for Barringer as four of the 5 scored. Kyle Wolfe came on in the 6th-7th to get the save, Wolfe allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, 2 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Offensively Barringer helped his cause going 2-3 at the plate with 3 RBI , Gage Hammond also had two hits and 2 RBI. Ashton Waldrop also singled and drove in two runs to help secure the game.

Varsity Baseball - 4/18/2024

The Falcons took a road trip yesterday to Chillicothe VA Memorial Stadium to take on the Portsmouth West Senators. The Falcons won the game 5-3.

I the third inning Angelo Galella scored on a passed ball, Ashton Waldrop scores on Brady Andrew squeeze bunt. Alex Burke sored on Garrett Dilchers ground ball to the shortstop. The Falcons picked up runs in the 6th and 7th Chase Harmon puts the ball in play to score Dilcher from 3b.

Dylan Chilcote started on the mound going 5 innings, giving up the 3 earned runs, walking 4 and striking out 4.

Eli Wolfe came on in the 6th to 2 complete innings with no runs no walks and 2 strikeouts.

Varsity Track - 4/16/2024

Women tie for 3rd and the Men bring home 6th. We were able to compete a lot of our younger athletes along with some specialty athletes to see who is capable of what. Overall great weather and a great night. #FalconPride #RowTheBoat

Varsity Baseball - 4/15/2024

The Falcon baseball team dropped a tough 9 inning game to visiting Circleville last night 6-4. Brady Andrews pitched 7 strong innings allowing 3 runs with 2 earned. Ty Fisher, Chase Harmon and Kyle Wolfe all pitched in relief. Andrews struckout 9, walked 3 and hit 4 batters

Offensively the Falcons were led by Ashton Waldrop who was 2-3 and scored 3 runs, Garrett Dilcher was 3 for 5 and scored a run. Aiden McCafferty and Chase Harmon also collected two hits.

The loss drops the Falcons record to 5-8 overall and 4-2 in the league.

The Lady Falcons had a tough night on the diamond dropping their league game to visiting Circleville. Kayle Emswiler led the offense 2/3 with a Homerun and 3 RBIs.

The Falcons won their non league game at New Lexington. Eight Falcons had hits in the win. Maddie Lanning led the Falcons offensively going 4/4, with two doubles and 6 RBI’s. Rachel Patterson earned the win in the circle.

Varsity Baseball - 4/13/2024

The Falcons dropped a pair of games this weekend to state ranke Sheridan Generals 14-4 and 15-5. Highlights for the Falcons were Kyle Wolfe, Brady Andrews and Ashton Waldrop collected 2 hits on the day. Garrett Dilcher doubled and had 2 RBI. Eli Wolfe, Aiden McCafferty, Micha Hartman.

In game one Ben Barringer got the pitching loss and in game two Micha Hartman took the loss on the mound.

Varsity Baseball - 4/10/2024

The Falcons defeated the TV Vikings behind strong pitching and timely hitting. The Falcons also executed their bunting game to perfection.

Jacob Forson pitched 6 1/3 innings giving up just 2 runs with 8 strikeouts and 3 walks and allowed 8 hits. Ben Barringer struck out 2 batters in the 7th inning to end the game. Brady Andrews was 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI. Micha Hartman and Ben Barringer also added an RBI each.

The Falcons record stands at 5-5 and 4-1 in the MSL.

Varsity Softball - 4/10/2024

Rachel Patterson earned the win pitching 6 innings and was backed by stellar defense.

The Falcons found themselves down 3-4 in the bottom of the 4th. Taylor Smeck led off the inning with a double. Patterson scored her with a single to right center field to tie the game 4-4. Patterson led off the 6th inning and again found her way on with a walk. Molly Brown bunted for a single and advanced the runner. The defense tried to get the courtesy runner Ellie Hutchinson at the plate, but were unsuccessful, putting the Falcons ahead 5-4. Addy Wolfe drove in 2 runs with a double extending the lead to 7-4. Three up three down on defense in the top of the 7th sealed the victory with everyone contributing.

Varsity Softball - 4/9/2024

Fairfield Union with the win 4-2 over Amanda Clearcreek. Rachel Patterson was the winning pitcher with 7 innings pitched and solid defense to back her up. Addy Wolfe was 2/3 with a Homerun. Kerra Fuller went 2/2. Kayle Emswiler, Kerra Fuller, and Maddi Lanning all knocked in a run as well.

Varsity Softball - 4/9/2024

Fairfield Union with the win 4-2 over Amanda Clearcreek. Rachel Patterson was the winning pitcher with 7 innings pitched and solid defense to back her up. Addy Wolfe was 2/3 with a Homerun. Kerra Fuller went 2/2. Kayle Emswiler, Kerra Fuller, and Maddi Lanning all knocked in a run as well.

Varsity Baseball - 4/6/2024

The Falcons dropped a pair of games on Saturday, New Lex beat the falcons 6-1 and Lakewood beat them 9-2. Not much offense on the day. The only two RBI came on a double squeeze by Jeremiah Johnson.

Chase Harmon started the game vs New Lex and Ben Barringer pitched 5 innings in relief vs New Lex. Kyle Wolfe, Alex Burke, and Brady Andrews pitched vs Lakewood.

Varsity/JV Baseball - 4/5/2024

The Falcons scored two runs in the top of the 7th and held on in the bottom of the seventh to beat Bloom Carroll on the road. Kyle Wolfe and Ben Barringer scored on an error by the Bulldogs. Jacob Forson pitched a complete game, 6 strikeouts and just one walk.

Falcon JV team Bloom Carroll Friday evening at John Nelson Field. Falcons s won the game 7-6 in seven innings. Dylan Chilcote earned the win in relief Cameron Silcott who started and pitch 5 1/3 innings. Falcons were led offensively by Braxton Rowles with two hits. Gage Hammond, Braxton Rowles and Wyatt Boggs each drove in run for the Falcons. Joey Blankenship reached base with two walks and Braxton Rowles and Codie Andrews each had multiple stolen bases.

Varsity Baseball - 4/3/2024

The Falcons defeated Liberty Union last night 9-2 . Micha Hartman pitched a complete game including 8 strikeouts. Brady Andrews went 3-4 at the plate and 2 RBI, Garrett Dilcher also drove in two runs with a double. Ty Fisher executed a bases loaded squeeze to add a run.

Varsity Baseball - 3/27/2024

The varsity team lost a close game to Washington Courthouse 4-3 last night. The Falcons were limited to only one hit, a pinch hit single by Alex Burke in the seventh inning which eventually led to Jeremiah Johnson scoring the Falcons third run.

Micha Hartman pitched 7 strong innings allowing 6 hits walked 1, struck out 4 and hit a batter.

Ty Fisher scored a run and had 2 stolen bases.

Falcons travel to Westfall on Friday.

JV Baseball - 3/27/2024

The JV baseball team traveled to Unioto for an early season match up with the Tanks. Falcons lost on a walk off base hit 5-4 in seven innings. Cameron Silcott pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up 4 hits and one run. At the plate, the Falcons were lead by Eli Wolfe and Wyatt Boggs with two hits each. The Falcons JV team will return to action Friday when they host Westfall at 5:15 p.m.

5/17/2023 - Varsity Baseball vs. Washington C.H.

Falcons drop section finals game to Washington Courthouse 4-1. Ronnie went the distance on the mound allowing 6 hits striking out 6. Offensively the Falcons were led by Chase Harmon’s multi-hit day. Rowley and Palmer also added a hit each in the game. Special shout out to the seniors for all of their hard work over the last 4 years.

5/15/2023 - Varsity Baseball vs. New Lexington

Falcons pick up sectional win over New Lex 6-2. Jacob Forson goes the distance allowing 2 runs on 4 hits striking out 9. Offensively the Falcons were led by a huge day from Malachi Palmer which included a 1st inning grand slam and a 3rd inning solo home run. Palmer also added a single along with Rowley and McCafferty. Falcons are back in action on Wednesday in tournament action as they head to Washington Courthouse.

Falcons pick up non-league win over New Lex 10-8. Ty Fisher picked up the win on the mound going 4.1 innings allowing 5 runs on 4 hits. The Bell brothers finished it in relief.

4/10/2023 - Varsity Baseball vs. Teays Valley

Falcons drop league contest 10-0 to Teays Valley. Malachi Palmer led the way with 2 hits while Kyle Wolfe and Angelo Galella each added one. Ronnie Rowley pitched 5 innings and Chase Harmon pitched 1.

4/6/2023 - Varsity Baseball vs. Washington C.H.

Falcons drop a non-league contest to Washington Courthouse 2-1 in 8 innings. Jacob Forson pitched allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, striking out 6 in the effort.

4/6/2023 - Varsity Softball vs. Logan

The Lady Falcons run ruled Logan 15-5. Rachel Patterson earned the win in the circle. Molly Brown went 3-5 with two homeruns, Gauge Mitchell hit a Homerun. Kerra Fuller and Hailey Hall went 2-4 in the offensive charge.

4/4/2023 - Varsity Softball vs. Hamilton Township

Varsity softball defeated Hamilton Township. Jenna Brown went 3-4 with a HR. Kayle Emswiler hit a go ahead 3 run homerun in the 6th inning. Rachel Patterson earned the win allowing only one hit. Kylie Fuller went a few innings in the circle as well.

Varsity softball dropped their game to Circleville. Jenna Brown went 2/3 and Addy Wolfe hit a solo homerun. The Falcons return home tonight vs Hamilton Township.

Falcons pick up a league win 9-3 over Circleville. Ronnie Rowley went 6.1 innings allowing 6 hits and 3 runs striking out 8. Joe Bell came in to finish it allowing 0 hits striking out 1.

Congratulations to both the Women’s and Men’s Track & Field teams for competing very well at the Newark Invitational! The Women finished 3rd out of 11 teams scoring 86 points.

Falcons pick up a 5-3 win on Saturday vs Lakewood. Ty Fisher got the start going 3.1 innings allowing 3 runs on 2 hits Striking out 4 and Josh Bell picked up the win in relief allowing no runs on 1 hit striking out 3.

Falcons pick up win over Lancaster 2-1. Jacob Forson goes the distance on the mound allowing 4 hits. Huge defensive effort all around from everyone. Offensively the Falcons collected 3 hits on the day.

3/28/2023 - Varsity Softball vs. Lakewood

The Varsity Softball team dropped their season opener to a very good Lakewood team. Addy Wolfe led offensively going 2-2 with a walk. League play begins Friday at home vs Hamilton twp.

3/27/2023 - Varsity Baseball vs. Fisher Catholic

Falcons pick up their first win of the season in their home opener 7-1 over Fisher Catholic. Kyle Wolfe got the start on the mound going 4 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits and striking out 6.

3/25/2023 - Varsity Track @ LU Quad

Congratulations to both the men’s and woman’s Track and Field teams for winning the Liberty Union Quad meet Saturday. The Women won with 116.5 points to Liberty Union's 62 points, Fisher Catholic's 40.6 points and New Lex's 36 points. The Men won with 104 to Liberty Union's 98.5, Fisher Catholic's 34 and New Lex's 19.5.
