Creative Writing - Grades 8-11 (3 Hours)

Coding & Robotics with Ozobots - Grades 5-6 (1 Hour)

Learn to code with Ozbots! Ozobots are mini pocket-sized robots that look like the ghosts from Pacman, and you can create commands for the robots by creating codes using paper, colored markers, and a series of lines and colored squares. If you enjoy creating games and solving puzzles then this is a course for you!

Art Studio - Grades 5-8 (1 Hour)

Instructor Ms. McKinnon 

Students will have the opportunity to design and create their own painting. This course will be one hour per day with Ms. McKinnon. Students will learn fundamental painting techniques. At the end of the course, students will have a completed painting of their own to take home.

The Face of our Community - Grades 5-8 (1 Hour)

Instructor Ms. McKinnon

Students will have an opportunity to design and create “The Face of our Community”. Each student will design and create a Mask to collaboratively be displayed in downtown Lancaster by the Court House!  The display will come back to school after a year and be a sculpture here at school!

The course will be 1 hour per day with Ms. McKinnon and students will learn to make their own clay and form their mask.   Students will glaze the stoneware clay mask with high fire glaze and learn how glazes are made and fired.  Connections to the student’s heritage will influence their mask design in a colorful way and a local sculptor Ric Leichliter will attach all the masks together and will Publicly display the projects for the whole community to view.

Real Money. Real World. (RMRW) is a youth-focused financial literacy program from Ohio State University Extension.
