2022 Costumes for Caring Day

This Halloween, the Fairfield Union High School chapter of the National Honor Society completed a fundraiser to raise money for local families in need.  On Friday the 28th of October, the group organized a dress up day. Dressing up was for staff and students alike! During the school day, students could “Trick or Treat” in the halls of the school exchanging donations for treats. The staff member with the most money at the end of the day declared victory over all! The victorious teacher was Mr. Perdew with a close second place by Mr. Alford. The group raised over $600! All of those generous donations will go directly to families in the Fairfield Union community! Thank you so much for your support! The kids and educators had fun helping out our community!  Read on for photos of this great event. . .

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY GRADES 11 AND 12

The faculty at Fairfield Union, in stressing academic achievement, awards membership in the National Honor Society as the highest honor a student can achieve at Fairfield Union in recognition of his or her academic pursuit.

Those who qualify for the National Honor Society must have achieved the following: A senior or junior must have a 3.50 grade point average at the end of the 7th and 5th semesters respectively. This point average is figured in academic subjects only and is not the same as the grade point average figured by the guidance department for graduation, which includes all subjects the student has taken. In addition, the student must contribute to the school through service and leadership. Also, his/her character is considered strongly. These categories are where participation in music, sports, clubs, other activities and conduct are taken into account.

In the selection of a member, the faculty considers all action contributed by prospective candidates. A member of the National Honor Society may be denied participation or removed for violation of established guidelines.
