MIKAELA JUNE TEACHES NUTRITION

April 2019
Mikaela June taught 5th graders information about nutrition, making good food choices, and maintaining an active lifestyle. She also had a dietitian from Fairfield Medical Center speak about nutrition information with the students.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

February 2019
On Tuesday, February 26, FCCLA members prepared a meal for the residents at Ronald McDonald House in Columbus.  Members raised funds to purchase groceries and fleece to make blankets by conducting a 50-50 at home boys basketball games.

FOOD DRIVE

December 2018
In December, FCCLA hosted its annual FOOD DRIVE.  The drive was promoted throughout the high school.  Classes bringing in the most items received a pizza party.  Together Fairfield Union High School donated over 1000 items to the Bremen Food Pantry.

NATIONAL FCCLA CLUSTER MEETING

In November, Amanda Baker, Julia Miller, Olivia Spillers, and Caelen White attended the National FCCLA Cluster Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.  These students had the opportunity to see the city as well as learn more about leadership opportunities through FCCLA.

Morgan Boch and Mikaela June have been focusing on a project encouraging others to read by sharing a lesson with 2nd graders at Pleasantville Elementary, 5th graders at Rushville Middle School, and creating a Free Book Library near the ELA area at the High School.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

February 2018
Members of the chapter helped prepare and serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio.  The Columbus Ronald McDonald House is the largest in the world.  Members raised money to purchase the groceries by conducting the 50-50 drawing at the home boys basketball games.  This year we raised over $900.00 which will be used towards other service projects our chapter conducts.

VOLLEY FOR THE CURE

In September, FCCLA along with the Volleyball Program, raised awareness and funds for breast cancer awareness and raised almost $2400.00 which was donated to Susan G. Komen Foundation.  The FCCLA members conducted a raffle with many valuable prizes ranging from gift cards to theme baskets.  Many community members pull together for this event.
