The swim team competed in the 2024 MSL Championship meet on Saturday, January 27. The Girls Medley relay team of Megan McMahon, Allison Freelend, Emily Burke, and Avery Long placed 2nd and the Boys Medley relay team of Mason Yerian, Will Denny, Angelo Galella, and Laith Wolfe placed 3rd. For the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, the team of Emily Burke, Lily Bates, Avery Long, and Megan McMahon placed 2nd. The 400 Yard Freestyle Relay teams both placed 3rd. The girls team consisted of Katie McMahon, Jordyn Smith, Abbie Pike, and Allison Freeland. The boys team was made up of Jonah Squires, AJ Ray, Gabe Shaw, and Luke Sattler.
Individually, Megan McMahon placed 2nd in the 100 Yard Freestyle and Emily Burke placed 2nd in the 100 Yard Butterfly dropping almost 4 seconds.
Overall, the girls team placed 3rd and the boys team placed 4th out of all of the teams in the MSL. The team will have another meet this Wednesday at the Pickaway YMCA and a home meet on Friday at the Lancaster YMCA where they will recognize their seniors Emily Burke and Avery Long.
