Christmas came early this year for 28 students in the Fairfield Union Local School District! Through the efforts of Advisor, Amber Cupp and the FUHS Student Council Members, 14 Bremen Elementary students and 14 Pleasantville Elementary students were able to spend December 9 participating in the district’s Adopt-a-Student program.  The Student Council members raised enough money throughout the year to provide each of the 28 elementary students a Kohl’s gift card worth $145.00. This could not have been possible without the incredible financial support provided by multiple generous sponsors in the local community! We would like to thank Kohl’s for providing a 25% discount coupon for each order in addition to accommodating our large group while we were in their store!  As a second-year partner, they provide us with all the extra space and assistance we need. Also a special thank you to Frisch’s Big Boy in Lancaster for providing each elementary student with a free kid’s meal for the second year in a row! The service we receive at Frisch’s is beyond compare. The Student Council members were also blessed by a local donor who graciously paid for their meals as a way of thanking them for their efforts. A very heart-felt thank you goes to everyone in the Fairfield Union school district who works to make this event a reality each year and to each and every one who contributed in any way.  This event truly blesses everyone who is involved!
