Robotics Club News - December 2022

Having been Anthony’s first meeting, Nick shared his knowledge on the EV3 robot to ensure that Anthony could code the robot to move in various directions. Jocelyn and Isaac messed around with the coding website to get a better understanding of how their robot functions. The remaining eighth graders, having done robotics in the past year and being familiar with the coding, worked on building the mission models to pass the time. First Lego League provides these mission models, which all correlate with energy. So far, the eighth graders have completed ten of these models and are on track to complete the entire set soon.

The fifth graders of RMS got to work customizing their own festive Christmas cards. Inside the cards, copper conducting tape was pasted in to form a circuit, which led to a three volt battery. This would, in turn, light up a small LED light when the card was closed and aided the new members in getting an understanding of circuits.
