Mrs. Totten and Mrs. Schmelzer have been the Key Club advisors since 2013. They were instructed that the Key Club had previously been donating homemade cookies to the Bremen Food Pantry to include in their Christmas food baskets. The club decided to continue the tradition by having a cookie bake in the foods room at the high school to provide the 50 dozen needed cookies. This tradition has been carried on for 7 years now. The first Saturday in December, the students and advisors, meet in the morning at the school and spend most of the day baking these cookies and listening to Christmas music. We use all 6 kitchens in the room and have so much fun. The students help to provide the ingredients. Any unopened ingredients are then donated to the Bremen Food Pantry. We are very proud to be able to provide assistance to families in our community.
